New Schools for Kanawha
New schools will soon be built to replace flood damaged buildings in Kanawha County. The Board of Education approved plans for architects and engineers to replace Hebert Hoover High School and Clendenin Elementary. The floods of 2016 left the buildings unusable and new locations will house the new schools. More than 120-million-dollars will be used on the projects and classes won’t open for several more years.
