Nicholas County School Plan Approved
The West Virginia State Board of Education unanimously approved the school building plan in Nicholas County this week. The county school board approved the plan earlier in the week and the state board also signed off on the plan for rebuilding flood-damaged schools. The outline calls for Richwood to get a new high school and middle school at the same location of the current Cherry River Elementary School. They’ll build a separate Nicholas County High and Middle School in the Glade Creek Business Park near Summersville. The current Nicholas County High School will be renovated for Summersville Elementary. The Career Technical Education school in Craigsville will close and move closer to the new high school.
