Nitro to Swear In Two New Officers

The City of Nitro is swearing in two probationary police officers for the Nitro Police Department this morning, bringing the Police Department up to eighteen officers. Philip Owens and Scott Reekie will work on administrative duties until January 4th, and then they’ll start training at the West Virginia State Police Academy until April 22nd. After field training between April and August, then they’ll be assigned to shifts.
