Man has trial delayed, awaits competency hearing
A man accused of killing a goat has had his trial delayed. Mark Thompson was in court Monday and his lawyer told the judge he wasn't competent to stand trial. The judge granted the motion to have a competency hearing, so that's the next step. No new trial date has been set. Thompson was arrested last summer in Charleston after police found him standing over his neighbor's goat and he was wearing women's underwear. Police said he was high on bath salts.
