Man to face hit and run charges at fall trial

26-year old Paul Thomas Sturm of Charleston will be on trial this fall connected to the hit and run death of a Putnam County man in 2011. 25-year old William Zachary Hudnall of Scott Depot was headed east on Interstate 64 near the Cross Lanes exit when he suddenly came to a car without lights on. There was a chain reaction crash, but no one besides Hudnall reported injuries. He at a Charleston hospital the next day. The car without the lights on fled the scene, and an anonymous tip eventually led police to Sturm. His trial has been set for September 17, on several charges including negligent homicide, leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death, and obstruction.
