Health Dept. plans vaccine clinics

Summer just started so it's hard to think about back-to-school, but as that approaches the Kanawha-Charleston Health Dept. has scheduled some walk-in vaccine clinic dates for students. There are new state requirements for seventh and 12th graders this fall. Students entering seventh grade will have to show proof of a Tdap booster and a dose of meningococcal vaccine. Twelfth-graders will have to show proof of a single dose of Tdap vaccine and at least one dose of meningococcal vaccine given after their 16th birthday. The clinics will be held August 6th, 13th, and 20th at the health department, 108 Lee Street in Charleston.
