AEP continues to work to restore power

Appalachian Power continues to reduce the number of outages with more than three thousand workers involved in the restoration effort. The company has said at least 500 power poles were broken in the storm and thousands of spans of wire were torn up. One group can't do it alone, so representatives from other companies in Kentucky and other neighboring states have been called in to help. The estimate for power to fully come back on in Kanawha County is Sunday, July 8. The number without power though has been reduced to forty thousand.
