Storm damage to County is at least a million dollars

Kanawha officials say the storm damage from June 29 will be greater than a million dollars. County officials are gathering data now that will go into the final damage number related to public property, and they're adding up the cost of responding to situations related to the storm. If West Virginia receives a federal disaster declaration, the county has to reach $856,000 in damages to receive FEMA reimbursements. FEMA is also back in Kanawha County this week compiling infomation for possible invidual reimbursements.
