West Virginia fares well for Worker's Comp rates
A new study shows West Virginia's workers' compensation rates are among the best in the US. The numbers from the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services, which conducted the study, show West Virginia has the 12th-least expensive workers' compensation rates in the nation. Alaska's are most expensive. North Dakota has the least expensive rates. The state has worked to transform workers' compensation insurance from a state monopoly to a private, competitive market over the past six years, and that has led to a savings for employers.
