Century presents plans to PSC
Century Aluminum presented two plans Friday to the West Virginia Public Service Commission as the special rate case continues. Byron Harris, executive director of the PSC's Consumer Advocate Division told the Charleston Gazette the plans still put the company's risks upon the customers of Appalachia Power. In Friday's filing, Century says its Immediate Restart Modification plan would reopen the Ravenswood plant sometime in 2013. The other plan, a Future Restart Modification, would open the plant sometime in the future, dependent upon the increase of aluminum prices. Appalachian Power has filed a petition with the Public Service Commission for clarification.
