Man Accused of Shooting at Wife and Kids
The Kanawha County Prosecuting Attorney's office will decide whether more charges will be filed after a man apparently fired shots in a Kroger parking lot in Cross Lanes, across from Andrew Jackson Middle School. After Sara Lacy showed the deputy where her husband, Gary Lacy Jr. fired the shots and a shell casing was found. Sara Lacy said she took the kids to the Kroger lot so he could tell their children he loved them. She saw a silver object hanging out of his pocket as he walked, up, and she fled. Then he fired one shot. Later, a witness reported seeing Lacy throw a semi-automatic pistol from his vehicle as they both passed through the school zone at Point Harmony Elementary School while children were arriving for school. Lacy. was arrested and charged with felony wanton endangerment. There are also charges for a separate domestic violence incident.
