Grant Money Comes For Healthcare Help
West Virginia health centers will have some money coming their way. They'll get over $2.5 million in grant awards to enroll the uninsured in new health coverage options that line up with the new healthcare law. Among the grant recipients - WomenCare Inc. in Scott Depot...they'll get more than $121,000. Cabin Creek Health Systems in Dawes gets more than $108,000. And Roane Family Health Care in Spencer will get $54,000, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The money is expected to help consumers understand their coverage options in the new health insurance marketplace, and they'll help determine an individual’s eligibility for Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program and new affordable health coverage options.
