Logan County Road Closure Affects Multiple Homeowners

Transportation officials in Logan County have been meeting with lawmakers and concerned neighbors who live in the area of a mudslide. The road in the Lyburn area was originally shut down last Friday due to a slip. Crews cleaned it up and were able to reopen the road, but had to close it again Monday due to fear of another slip. When the road closes it cuts off about 70 homes. The West Virginia Department of Transportation has been explaining options to neighbors when it comes to hotel accommodations, as well as money for meals as part of an evacuation plan offered by state road crews.
