Memorial To Honor Fellow Student Goes Missing

A handmade memorial for a Kanawha County student killed in a car accident is missing. Seventeen-year-old Cody Perdue was killed in October in a crash on MacCorkle Avenue near Marmet. The driver of the other car, 18-year-old Mason Roush, also was killed. Perdue was a Riverside High School student who also studied plumbing technology at Carver Career and Technical Education Center, and WSAZ reports students there spent two days constructing an 8-foot cross to honor his memory. Now the memorial has been reported missing. If the cross isn't returned, students say they plan to work on a new one to replace it. For more Charleston / Kanawha Valley news, go to WSAZ.COM
