Tips Encouraged in Counterfeit Bill Cases
The Kanawha County Sheriff's office is investigating reports of counterfeit bills being passed on Monday. Deputy T.A. Fouch responded to the 7-11 store on Shadyside Road in the outskirts of St. Albans after store personnel reported receiving two fake $20 bills sometime during the day. Store managers are reviewing surveillance footage in an attempt to determine who passed the bills. The sheriff's office says so far this Christmas Season, there have been several counterfeit bills passed in Kanawha County, in no one particular area. Be on the lookout for suspicious currency, including $10’s, $20’s, $50’s and even $100’s.
