Police Increase Mall Presence

Charleston Police are planning for a larger presence in the downtown shopping areas this holiday season. At the Charleston Town Center, Black Friday shopping started last night at 6 pm, and you can expect to see an extra police presence today inside the mall too. Uniformed police officers are inside the mall, and undercover officers will be in the parking garages watching out for people going to and from their cars and keeping an eye out for potential car break-ins. WCHS TV said the extra patrols will last until New Year’s Day.
