ANNE HATHAWAY was at the beach in Hawaii with her husband ADAM SHULMAN this week . . . when she was nearly SWEPT OUT TO SEA. Anne had gone for a swim in the ocean . . . when she was pulled out by a rip current.  She screamed for help . . . and fortunately, a surfer came to the rescue, and brought her back to shore. But in the process of almost dying, Anne cut her foot on a reef or something, so her husband had to tend to her injury.  And he did so by SUCKING ON HER TOE.

Whenever someone hires LINDSAY LOHAN, they know how difficult she is to work with . . . but are apparently under the assumption that THIS TIME it's going to be different.  It never is. Last year, OPRAH WINFREY gave Lindsay an eight-episode reality show on OWN, reportedly in exchange for getting Lindsay's first post-rehab interview. The show premieres on March 9th . . . and in a preview that was recently shown to TV critics, Oprah reportedly slammed Lindsay. She said, quote, "This is exactly what everybody said was going to happen and I believed differently.  She doesn't understand.  This is her life . . . you think you have forever." She said this after Lindsay refused to take part in a scheduled day of filming, and fought with the show's producers. Oprah is shown telling Lindsay, quote, "My truth is, I really do want you to win . . . but if that isn't what you want, I'm okay with that.  I will tell these guys to pack up and leave today." And Lindsay responds, quote, "I know this is my last shot at doing what I have to do." In the preview, Lindsay also insists that she's dedicated to sobriety, but when her "sober coach" is asked if she's kept away from alcohol, the coach says, quote, "Um.  You know."

Lindsay Lohan is (allegedly) being extorted after her laptop was stolen while she was at an airport in Shanghai in China. The thieves who took the computer on Tuesday have reportedly managed to access Lindsay’s personal Twitter account and posted a series of Tweets. They then allegedly impersonated the actress writing, 'It was great to be in China and I want to thank everyone for their hospitality, however someone has stolen my computer at the airport.' An insider claims that the thieves have since made contact with Lohan demanding money before the laptop could be returned. Lindsay's team is said to be frantically trying to wipe the computer remotely, but they have not had any luck yet.
