Property Auction

The unclaimed property auction held at the West Virginia State Fair earlier this month was considered a success. The State Treasurer’s office said the auction raised nearly 48-hundred dollars. Many of the unclaimed items were from safety deposit boxes, and the money from each item remains in the owner’s account. The top bid for an item was 495-dollars for a gold chain.
