Prowler arrested in Ansted

Fayette County deputies responded to reports of a prowler near a home on Downey Ridge Road near Ansted. When officers arrived they found 57-year-old Michael Ashmore, who was wanted for failing to register as a sex offender. Deputies also found two firearms. Ashmore, a convicted felon, was charged with possession of firearms by a prohibited person.
