Purse Snatchers Are Caught With Witness’s Help

Two purse snatchers are facing charges, thanks to surveillance video. James Clifford Rodgers and Clifton Michael Martin, both of Charleston, took turns standing outside of a large department store at the Kanawha Mall, according to Charleston police, and blocked a 78-year-old woman from entering the store. The woman said they threatened her and then grabbed her purse and ran to the parking lot. A witness followed the truck to a grocery store, and called 911. Martin is accused of using one of the victim’s credit cards at a gas station too. Both are facing charges.
