Quality of water

Despite the positive news about the water quality of the Kanawha River, West Virginia American Water Company is not quite ready to use the river as a drinking water source. A lot more review of the water needs to be completed before the water company is comfortable before using this as a backup to the Elk River. The next step of the vetting process will be to see if West Virginia American Water is able to presently properly treat the water as is.
