Race Relations plans
A race relations improvement plan is being put in place in Charleston. Officials in the city announced plans on Wednesday, to work with police to keep the lines of communications open with the public. More than half a dozen initiatives are being launched, including anti-racism training for officers, a youth advisory council, body cameras and de-escalation training. Officials with the city say the recent police violence across the country and shootings are a crisis and Charleston is being proactive in its approach.
