Raleigh Humane Society Shuts its Doors
Officials at the Humane Society of Raleigh County say its no-kill shelter has been forced to close its doors at least temporarily to new intakes and cut its hours due to overwhelming debt. Humane society board member Melissa Lyons tells The Register-Herald says that the shelter is faced with full kennels and increasing veterinary bills, and says that unless the shelter receives financial support to help with the bills, the future is in doubt.
