Rate Increases
No one likes to hear about rate increases. However, from time to time, improvements must be made. Starting next week in Ripley and the town of Evans, outdated sewer lines will be replaced with new pipes and new lift stations. It’s a project that’s been a long time coming. Beneath the streets in Ripley sits a more than $13 million infrastructure upgrade, made possible by water rate hikes, but done gradually, over time. The project is scheduled to be completed within a year.
