Re-vamping the I-35 corridor

Re-vamping the I-35 corridor. Texas DOT and local officials announced a plan to add two express lanes along I-35 in effort to reduce congestion. The proposal includes lower the interstate through downtown Austin, and potentially removing the upper decks from Martin Luther King Boulevard to Airport Boulevard. Construction could begin as early as 2021.
