Retired Miners

West Virginia’s U.S. senators are still fighting for retired miners’ health benefits. Joe Manchin threated to stall a federal budget vote on Friday if no action was taken and Shelli Moore has asked Donald Trump to take up the issue once he is in office. It has been a hot button issue around the country and in West Virginia. More than 16-thousand retired miners are scheduled to lose benefits at the end of the year.
