If spending your golden years in Florida doesn’t appeal to you, there’ll be a new option closer to home. Developers announced Wednesday, they plan to build a new senior living community in Pittsylvania County. The Willows at Runk and Pratt will be at the site of the former AltaVista Country Club. Services will include assisted living and memory care. County officials say the project fills two needs. It’ll provide housing for a growing population and add about 60 jobs.
