Road Groundbreaking Draws Dignitaries
Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin was one of many on hand for the groundbreaking for the final 14.6-mile section of U.S. 35 between Putnam and Mason counties. The ceremony happened Wednesday at the Department of Highways U.S. 35 maintenance facility just above the Buffalo Bridge Hill in Putnam County. Others included Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, U.S. Rep. Evan Jenkins and West Virginia Transportation Secretary Paul Maddox.
