S Charleston Family Haiti

A South Charleston family with ties to Haiti is concerned about the devastation there. Mark and Jacqui Ranson run a non-profit mission called “Heart of the Mountain Mission” that educates more than 300 students. They have also brought 22-year-old Haitian Mark Henry William back to their home so he could get a college education. Jacqui met William on a trip to Haiti when he was her translator. While the school was not damaged, some homes in the village were damaged.
