Salango Wins Election Despite Negative Ads

A Washington, D.C.-based political action committee spent thousands of dollars boosting Dan Greear and attacking Tera Salango in the race for Kanawha Circuit Judge, but voters elected Salango anyway. Greear was appointed to the circuit bench by Gov. Jim Justice earlier this year when Judge James Stucky resigned for health reasons. Now Salango will take that seat and finish out Stucky’s term through 2024. Salango is a Nitro native who graduated from West Virginia State University and the WVU College of Law.
