School Superintendent
The state superintendent of schools says he is “conflicted” over his previous decision to move back to Maryland. Michael Martirano said in a radio interview last week that his decision to move back to Maryland to be closer to his adult children “weighs on his heart tremendously.” The West Virginia Department of Education says they are still planning to find a replacement for Martirano. As it stands right now, his last day on the job is June 30th.
