Sen. Capito Urges for Better Broadband Access

Sen. Shelley Moore Capito wants the state’s broadband issues to be addressed. She’s asked President-elect Trump to include broadband internet expansion to any future infrastructure proposals like those on pipelines and highways. Capito cited a study by the FCC, which said 56 percent of West Virginians did not have access to broadband internet that met the agency’s benchmarks. Capito said that number reached as high as 74 percent in rural parts of the state.
