Senate Budget

The four-point-three-billion-dollar Senate version of the 2017 budget is in the books. By a vote of 29 to 5, the Senate passed the budget that includes a one-dollar-per-pack tax increase on cigarettes. The Senate and House have a few more days to decide on a budget plan after Governor Tomblin’s proclamation to extend the session if needed to pass a budget.
