Separate Impeachment Trials are Likely
The state Senate talked Monday about how to handle the possible impeachment of four West Virginia Supreme Court Justices, and decided to try each impeached current and former justice on an individual basis in up to four separate impeachment trials. The Gazette-Mail reports the Senate will reconvene when Senate President Mitch Carmichael calls them back to allow those who were impeached to plead guilty or not guilty. The date for that hasn’t been announced.
