Several Thanksgiving Races Are Planned in the Region
You’ll have plenty of opportunities to get a little exercise before dinner on Thanksgiving Day. Several road races are planned Thursday throughout the region, according to TriStateRacer.com. In Charleston, the Eighth Annual Drumstick Dash gets underway at 9 a.m. on Kanawha Boulevard. The flat 5K course goes from Court Street to Greenbrier Street and back. St. Albans will have the Hot Diggity Dog Thanksgiving 5K that kicks off at 9 a.m. at St. Albans High School. The Huntington Turkey Trot takes off at 9 a.m. at Ritter Park. YMCA of Southern West Virginia Thanksgiving Day Run, 8:20 a.m. at the Paul Cline Memorial Youth Sports Complex in Beckley.
