Sixty Arrests Made Related to Domestic Violence
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and law enforcement officers in Kanawha County took that to heart on Wednesday. WCHS TV reported Kanawha County deputies, Charleston police and U.S. marshals served more than five dozen warrants across the county for charges relating to domestic violence and family court. Suspects take the risk of facing more charges if they wait and tend to have more control over the situation if they turn themselves in to law enforcement, according to Sgt. B. D. Humphreys with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.
