Slicing Jobs in Kanawha

Kanawha County will be slicing nearly 75 jobs from its payroll due to a loss of funding. The county said Monday, it will lose money for 72 positions, 47 of which are professional. The rest are service jobs. The school system has lost more than 700 students, and that’s causing the lower budgeting. The county says it will do its best to reduce positions that will have the least impact on students and programs.
