Sobriety Checkpoint Planned for Tonight
The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office is planning another sobriety checkpoint tonight as part of its zero tolerance policy on impaired driving. The sherriff’s office conducts random checkpoints throughout the year, and also has targeted patrols to keep drug and alcohol-impaired drivers off the road. Tonight’s checkpoint will be from 7pm to midnight on WV Rt. 817 near St. Albans, in conjunction with the Governor’s Highway Safety Program.
