St. Albans man pleads guilty to animal cruelty charges

A St. Albans man will spend up to five years in jail for throwing and kicking a 5-month-old puppy. Forty-three-year-old Joseph Massey pleaded guilty to animal cruelty in an incident that happened in June at a home on Knox Avenue. The dog suffered a traumatic brain injury.
