Starbucks Worker in Huntington Diagnosed with Hepatitis A
Another food service worker has been diagnosed with Hepatitis A. The Cabell-Huntington Health Department says the person works at the Starbucks in Pullman Square in Huntington. Customers could be at risk if they consumed food or drinks from the restaurant on July 2 or July 3, but it’s a low risk. The restaurant voluntarily closed for disinfectant cleaning. This is the latest case in a multi-state outbreak of hepatitis A. The last confirmed case in Cabell County was in late June at a Cracker Barrel in Barboursville. At least eight food service workers in Kanawha and Putnam counties have contracted the disease, but there have been no reports of customers getting sick.
