State Trooper is Recovering After Accident

A car crash on Route 2 in Mason County resulted in a fire yesterday morning. It happened a little before 4 am and a state trooper was involved in crash. Senior Trooper Brian C. McCormick was driving when his vehicle went off the left side of the road and hit a tree, according to a news release from State Police. The vehicle caught fire, and a passerby stopped to pull him out before paramedics arrived. State Police and the Mason County Sheriff’s office are investigating.
