Governor Justice is seeking the power to furlough state workers. The recent credit rating downgrade has prompted the governor to seek a way to furlough workers on the state’s payroll as a way to combat the ongoing budget woes. Justice’s furlough bill request is similar to the one former Governor Earl Ray Tomblin was proposing last year near the end of the legislative session.
