Strong winds knock out power to thousands

The power is back on for most people this morning. Thousands of Appalachian Power customers lost power Saturday night into much of Sunday. Strong winds took out several distribution lines and transmission stations. The National Weather Service reported wind gusts of over 50-miles-per-hour.
