Students May Increase Technology
Education leaders in West Virginia want students in the state to have more access to technology at school. State Superintendent of Schools Michael Martirano says he wants every student from grades three to 12 to have devices like laptops or tablets to use at school and take home and he wants devices for younger students, but not to take home. Mike Green, the president of the state Board of Education, also wants the business community’s help in expanding technology access for students, according to the Gazette-Mail. He says Wi-Fi Internet access could be added to school buses at under $200 per bus per year.
