Summer Food Service

A West Virginia leader is being recognized for his work in the state’s Summer Food Service Program. Dr. William White received a national honor for his efforts to help feed children in the Mountain State. White worked with teachers and multiple other resources to strengthen the program since getting involved and currently serves as the Director of Minority Affairs. The Summer Food Service Program is federally-funded and ensures children in lower-income areas receive meals during the summer.
