Tax reform

Delegate Mick Bates of Raleigh is being appointed as one of two House Democrats to serve on the Joint Select Committee on Tax Reform of the West Virginia Legislature. The committee was created last year and tasked with the job of studying ways to improve the tax system and structure. He says he’s looking forward to examining areas of the tax code that will make the system of revenue collection more fair, efficient, competitive and predictable.
