Teaching the bible in WV schools

A West Virginia Senator has introduced a bill that would require all schools to provide an elective course on the bible. Senators Mike Azinger and Sue Cline say the bill’s purpose is to teach students knowledge of biblical content. It also stipulates that the course would follow applicable law and all federal and state guidelines in maintaining religious neutrality and accommodating diverse religious views.
