Thief Hides in Kmart to Steal Jewelry

Putnam County deputies are investigating aftr tens of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry was stolen from the Kmart in Teays Valley. The suspect hid in the store until it closed Saturday, and then took up to $100,000 worth of jewelry. Detectives said there was a similar burglary at the Kmart on Patrick Street recently and the two crimes could be related. If you have tips, call the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
