Tornado touched down Thursday
The National Weather Service says recent severe storms produced a tornado in northern West Virginia. Media outlets report the weather service confirmed an EF-0 tornado with winds up to 80 mph on Thursday in Morgantown. The tornado went a few hundred yards before dissipating. The weather service says a storm Thursday in Berkeley Springs and Martinsburg did not produce a tornado. Instead, trees were knocked down by a microburst with straight-line winds of up to 70 mph.
