Voter ID laws goes into effect next year

West Virginia’s voter identification law goes into effect January first. A new campaign will help educate voters on what type of ID will be required at the polls in 2018. The “Be Registered and Be Ready to Vote” campaign will address frequently asked questions. Voters will have to show a form of identification to vote starting next year.
